Express Zakat
An obligatory charity to purify wealth for those possessing greater than the value of nisab for 1 lunar year. Zakat is given as 2.5% of your zakat-able wealth. Value of Nisab is calculated as 85 grams of Gold or 609 Grams of Silver. Zakat can only be given to recipients meeting the criteria of a zakat recipient (9:60). A virtuous deed or act of kindness; Sadaqah can be given various ways with various intentions. Feed the World will only use sadaqah in eligible causes and for eligible beneficiaries.
